welcome

I’m Sander Sarioglu, an illustrator, image-maker, and creative strategist based in British Columbia, Canada. My work lives at the intersection of fine art, design, and storytelling, where a single image can carry an entire mood or spark a conversation.

Over the past two decades, I’ve explored both traditional and digital media, moving fluidly between detailed figurative drawing, concept-driven illustration, and art-forward design. I’m drawn to projects that ask me to distill complex ideas into images that feel human, atmospheric, and memorable.

I’ve exhibited in group shows, including Connective Tissues (2021), the People’s Portrait Prize (2019), and exhibitions at Christine Klassen Gallery, Fort Calgary, and Symons Valley. My illustration and design work has appeared in Avenue Magazine, Prism International, and publications for the Edmonton Community Foundation, the Edmonton Construction Association, and the Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research.

Outside of commissioned work, I’m committed to personal projects that explore human connection, cultural identity, and the blending of realism with the surreal. No matter the context, my approach is rooted in clarity, craft, and the belief that a well-made image can change the way we see the world.

When I’m not at my desk, you’ll find me flying kites, drawing in nature, working in my garden, or being with my beautiful family.
